Concurrent Studies for current Secondary Students

Concurrent Studies is an opportunity for currently enrolled secondary school students to enroll in Douglas College courses for credit, at the same time they are completing secondary school.

Eligibility: An eligible Concurrent Studies student will normally be a grade 12 student and will be limited to a maximum of two courses per semester. Exceptions may be approved on an individual basis by the College Registrar, upon recommendation from the school principal and/or school counselor.
Douglas College admission requirements are waived however, course pre-requisites must be met.
Concurrent Studies students complete & submit the following documents with their interim transcript:

a) Application for Admissions (the application fee is waived)
b) Concurrent Studies Application form
Concurrent Studies students pay TUITION FEES only and do not pay the Student's Union, Other Student Activity or Registration & Services Fees.

When the Concurrent Studies student graduates or completes grade 12 and is no longer "Concurrent Studies", they must reapply as a regular student and will be assessed for College admission requirements the same as any applicant. If the student applies within the "3 consecutive semester" rule, they will not have to pay the application fee, however if they do not apply within 3 consecutive semesters of their last attendance, they would have to pay an application fee. Additionally, these students will be required to pay all fees (tuition and all other applicable fees) just as any other student at Douglas College.
